I rediscovered these blogs the other day (in all honesty they had completely forgotten about them) and discovered that they were still getting a few hits… and I have very carefully considered the possibility of starting a new blog… but I need to know that people still visit this site and care enough. So I’ll make you a deal… I am going to put a poll at the bottom of this post and if I get over 150 votes on it then I will start a new blog, depending on what you vote below. In reality I will probably not be starting this blog until I do my exams and get back from my holidays, that will be in around July, so I strongly suggest that you either subscribe to the RSS feed of this blog or else send me an email at rogerdodger777@live.com saying that you would like to be notified when the new blog starts and I will send you an email. If I get over 150 votes, I will immediately post on this site as well as sims3bigbrother the result and I will plan to start at around end of June beginning of July.

I really want to give you a choice into what the new post will be about, so the poll will be about what you would like the story to be about.

The options are either: A sequel to In His Own World (Something like the Further Adventures of Aaron, or even possibly Lorraine’s Early Life, Lilly’s Life after Aaron, Ethan’s Grown Up Life, or Cassie’s life as a homeless person… If that gets the most votes I will put up a second poll asking which one you would most like to see), a Sims 3 Big Brother Season 2 (With the possibility of the viewers making their own contestants, which was a very much requested topic at the end of season one) or something Completely Different! (I’m thinking of a Sims Soap Opera, but you are welcome to make suggestions below.)

I would definitely love comments so if you stop by, please leave a comment on what you think.

There have been 8 main characters, 2 different houses, 2 main character deaths, 3 divorces, 3 affairs, 2 weddings and one birth. 

Here are some other bits of trivia:

~ There has only been one post which features all of the main characters, and that was the last post.

~ You may or may not have noticed a very ugly woman which a long nose and a monobrow which Aaron scared in the library (Gloria and Aaron’s Not So Excellent Adventure), and who also visited Aaron’s house for his wedding (Aaron and Lilly Brown, Two Kids Nobody Loved). This woman’s name is Louise MacDonald and when I was planning a longer story for Aaron I had planned for Louise to be Aaron’s second wife after Lilly left. She was going to be a much better wife than Lilly and their love would last the distance.

~ When I first made the Brown family Gloria’s name was actually Glenda. However, when I was writing the introduction I had forgotten what I had called her but I knew it began with a Gl so I wrote Gloria. I think Gloria suits her better anyway.

~ It was actually incredibly difficult to get Geraldina to die. First I had trouble starting a fire because I didn’t realise I had bought a fireproof oven (If you go back and have a look you will see that the oven changes) and even after the fire started I would have a lot of trouble getting the fire to keep going long enough to catch on to Geraldina. If you have a look you will see that the counters actually get a lot closer together to make sure that there would be less space between Geraldina and the flame. I had to start a fire about 5+ times and it was incredibly frustrating.

~ Cassie’s full name is Cassie Davis. This has no relation to the pop singer Cassie Davis and in fact I did not even know that there was a singer called Cassie Davis when I made her.

~ When Lorraine went over to visit Jon in “Lorraine’s Predicament” I wanted the viewer to think that Jon’s house was a long way away from Aaron’s house but in reality it was just across the road, and I went to a lot of effort to make sure you couldn’t see the Brown mansion in the background of any of the shots. This of course meant that the entry “The Chase” was a bit fabricated because Lorraine actually only had to cross the road to get home.

I would also like to explain the characters in more detail because I did in fact put a lot of thought into each of the characters and hopefully it will help get some empathy for some of the less liked characters. Keep in mind that this whole blog was set from Aaron’s point of view, and I’m sure if we had had it from any other character’s view point the story would have been very different. As you read this you might think that the detail I have thought these characters through is ridiculous for just Sims but it is important for me as I am practicing to be an actor as well as a story-writer

Aaron Brown: Aaron was the lovable freak with a heart of gold, but none of my characters are ever perfect and though it may have looked like Aaron was always caring for other people a lot of the time he didn’t care much for people’s feelings. He enjoyed scaring people and did it on a number of occasions (at the baby shower, in the library, on the street). He was also very self-involved and often thought he was the only person who was having troubles, often feeling very sorry for himself without caring about others. I believe if Aaron was a bit less self-involved and shown more love to Lilly his marriage would have worked out better. Still, considering the life he had with the disability he had, it is not his fault that he’s got issues. On Aaron’s disability: I had first planned for Aaron’s disability to be a bit more drastic, but really Aaron’s disability was not too extreme despite the physical deformities and his occasional strange behavior. This I think increases how stupid and superficial Robert’s decision to lock him up was.

Lilly Brown (née Hallibut): Lilly was in fact a very intricate character, and while a lot of people I’m sure are very angry at her for what she did, I would urge you to feel sorry for her. Lilly would have suffered from severe depression her whole life, which was increased during pregnancy because of the swinging hormones and after the birth because of post partum depression. She was so used to being treated differently that soon she decided that she was sick of being treated differently and just wanted to fit in, that was why she had that makeover. Notice that while Lilly’s original look accentuates her pale skin and strangeness, her new look goes out of its way to hide the fact that she is different, she dyes her hair black, wears a long shirt with gloves, large sunglasses and jeans, everything to hide her unusual skin. Also, I know a lot of you didn’t like her new makeover and I assure you that that was deliberate. I wanted you to start having doubts about this girl we had hardly seen but had been built up in Aaron’s mind as being perfect.

Robert Brown: When I first made Robert I had thought of him as the ultimate bad guy, but as more and more things happened, I have decided that he was just a coward with a lot of greed. He was cowardly when he first decided to hide Aaron and I think a lot of his actions since then despite appearing to be tough, have actually been done out of cowardice. He also seems to have some sort of raw sexual attraction as he seems to have been able to attract Lorraine, Cassie and Lilly at different points without having any real attraction in my opinion.

Gloria Brown: When I first made Gloria, I had some intricate idea that Gloria would use Aaron to extort money off Robert but not really have any feelings for Aaron whatsoever. So I made her look very fake by making her wear expensive clothes and a lot of makeup. However, when Aaron finally came to stay with Gloria I decided that Aaron had been through enough and I wanted him to have something good, so Gloria’s character changed completely. Instead she became a very loyal, tough grandma who was ready to do anything to help her grandson who she felt so guilty for because she had never known about him.

Lorraine Lessen (née Brown): I think in my opinion Lorraine is in fact the most intricate character in the whole story. She has a severe inferiority complex after living with Robert for so long, and she has soon been battered down to the ground so much that she has learned not to protest to anything. Despite this, she still has a moral compass that points more north than any other character in this story. It is important to note how much happier and more relaxed Lorraine was after she left Robert, she had finally been freed and Jon had opened her up to the world again. She loved her son completely and the only reason she didn’t let Aaron stay with her the first time he asked was because she didn’t want to start a fight. Soon after I think she realised how stupid it was to reject him like that and regretted it so much that she would offer the house to him each time she saw him after that.

Cassie Brown (née Davis): Cassie is probably the most evil of the characters, but as usual, she is not completely evil and there is a reason she is as twisted as she is. Cassie is very insecure about her abilites, I imagine that she probably would have had abusive parents that made her doubt herself, this led to her trying to make herself feel good by making others feel bad. She knew she was hot and she used it to break people’s hearts just so she might feel better about herself, but it did not. This led to a downward spiral which led to her being the twisted woman she was when she married Robert. We can see this insecurity flare up again when Aaron rejects her advances in the last post.

Geraldina Martin: Geraldina is probably the least developed character on account of the fact I knew she was going to die soon into the story. She is a loyal servant who develops a soft spot for the poor hard-done-by Aaron and so secretly rebels against her masters. She doesn’t really have a deeper level than that unfortunately.

Ethan Brown: Ethan doesn’t have any character, he’s a baby!

I hope this entry was interesting for you. I really hope you have enjoyed this story as much as I have, it has been completely new to me and I have enjoyed it all so much.

He stumbles tiredly into the bedroom and turns on the tv to watch the news. The news reporter starts talking.

“Welcome back, now, this is not a news story but we have been paid large sums of money to advertise this upcoming show today on this program by a guy called rogerdodger777. So, we have sold out and now  here’s Stacey-Anne Lee on the upcoming tv show that we hope will be a sensation. Over to you Stacey-Anne.”

“Thankyou Brian, Hello everybody, I am Stacey-Anne Lee, and I will be the host of the upcoming tv show Big Brother. The producers of the show have told me that I have been chosen for this job for three reasons: Blonde, Breasts, and Butt. I’m not sure what they meant by that, but I’m sure it must be good.

As the show goes on you will enjoy watching my wardrobe get increasingly ridiculous and my face get more and more botoxed. But enough about me, let me tell you more about the show.
I’m sure you all know how Big Brother works, a group of brainless stereotypes that we can all laugh at, locked in a house  for months slowly getting eliminated until one is left. If that’s not brilliant entertainment, I don’t know what is.

You may be wondering why I am standing on a block of empty land instead of in front of the Big Brother house. That is because we would like all of you wonderful viewers to design a Big Brother house for us and send the link to rogerdodger777@live.com . The lucky viewer who’s house gets chosen will be acknowledged and will be able to see the house they designed be used by the boneheads that are going to compete.

Love, Lust, Friendship, Frenemies, Hate. Will these emotions run wild in the house? We sure hope so, they make for great tv.

Aaron switched off the tv. What a strange world, he thought to himself.

Note from the Author: Yes, this is my next blog. It is totally unoriginal and uncreative but I just wanted to do it for a bit of fun. I’m sure you have all seen various Sims Big Brothers before but hopefully this will be doing. I have been doing this in every version of the Sims 3 but this is the first time I have ever put it online so I am really excited to see what you think. This blog will just be a bit of light comic relief that I hope you will all enjoy. It will also be very viewer-involved and you will be able to vote and make a difference to how the show turns out. Aaron doesn’t know where he is walking, but his feet seem to know where they are going, so he just follows them. He stops once to look over at the town which has been his home for so long, which has brought him joy as well as so much pain.

As he walks he walks past a small house where he sees through a large window Lilly and Robert making out.

Aaron does not feel any pleasure in discovering that he was right about his wife’s affair, instead he feels a sick thudding feeling in his chest.

As he walks into town he sees the bench where he slept one night when he was homeless, it is also the same bench where he was reunited with Lilly. He sees a homeless woman sleeping there and he feels an overwhelming feeling of empathy for her.

When she wakes up Aaron realises it is in fact Cassie, his old maid and step mother who was so cruel to him. She is almost unrecognisable with her untidy hair, poor clothes, lack of makeup and unkempt eyebrows, Aaron is shocked by how far she has fallen.

When Cassie recognises her step-son, she runs up and begs him for a place to stay, she has been living on the streets since her last sugar daddy kicked her out and she needs a roof over her head.

Aaron is a good person at heart and despite how cruel Cassie was to him before, he decides that he will forgive her and let her stay at his house.

Cassie remembers the crush Aaron used to have on her and promises that when they get home maybe they can explore that a bit more.

Aaron politely declines Cassie’s advances

but Cassie does not stop and goes into to passionately hug Aaron.

Aaron, thoroughly disturbed by Cassie’s actions, quickly leaves his step mother and continues on his walk.

Aaron walks further and further and soon night has fallen, but Aaron still has one more place to visit.

The graveyard.

Aaron stands still for a long time at the graveyard, he is disappointed, he thought they would come.

But they did come.

Aaron is so glad to see the only two people who have always loved him again.

As Aaron is reunited with Geraldina, his dear maid who he hasn’t seen for ages, the other ghosts come out, rejoicing at the reunion of the dead and the living.

Aaron is so pleased to see his friend again, and once again feels he can act as childish as he wants again, despite the fact that Geraldina is amazed by how much he has grown.

Meanwhile proud Gloria gets her first look at her great-grandson, and she glows with happiness.

Soon Aaron decides that he wants to enjoy his time with his loved ones, and gets them playing a game of tag around the spooky graveyard.

And soon the whole graveyard is involved.

This ghostly game goes on all night, with Aaron completely enjoying chasing specters around the enchanting scenery.

However all good things must end, and soon the darkness starts to lighten, and night begins to end.

And soon all the ghosts in the graveyard burst into colourful clouds and return to their graves.

And soon Aaron is standing in the middle of an empty graveyard.

But it is not empty, one more familiar face is here.

Aaron almost did not recognise his mother when she walked up to him, and he is so pleased to see her.

Lorraine tells Aaron how her husband Jon has just died, and Aaron comforts his mother as she leans on him and cries.

She pulls herself together and looks kindly at her son. She once again extends her offer for him to stay with her in her house.

Aaron once again kindly rejects his mother’s offer.

He knows he cannot live with his mother. He has come to accept the fact that he is not loved or cared for by anyone in this world. He is all alone, and he knows it now.

Or is he?

Introduction to the New Blog!

Note from the author: Well, that’s it! I hope you have all enjoyed Aaron’s journey and are satisfied with how I ended it because I put a lot of effort into this last post! This is the only post where all the main characters appear, and personally I am very proud of it. Check back tomorrow and I will introduce you to my next blog (which will start in a few weeks, not straight away.) and also some behind the scenes information into the making of this blog. Thankyou so much to everyone who gave me feedback, especially those who regularily commented, I really couldn’t have done it without feedback.

However Aaron catches up to her before she gets too far.

He tells her that he has been trying so hard to make it work, but all his attempts have been ignored by her, he doesn’t know what else to do.

Lilly doesn’t care, she is just so offended by Aaron’s accusation and she calls him all sorts of terrible names.

Neither of them seem to realise the small child who has crawled outside and is watching them fight.

Little Ethan watches as his mother continues to scream, until Aaron offers her an ultimatum. Either she will go back to like she was when they married, or she would leave.

This shuts Lilly up, and for a few seconds they are both silent. Lilly looks Aaron up and down quietly.

Until finally Lilly has made a decision, they are over.

Aaron tries to play it off casually,

But it is clear Aaron is upset that his marriage has ended.

For a while the couple stare at each other, trying to think of a fitting way to say goodbye after all they have been through.

Until finally Lilly turns in silence and runs away. Leaving her ex-husband and son on the grass watching her go.

Aaron picks up Ethan and watches as Lilly disappears…

Lilly is doing everything to just not look back, at the house she called home, at the man she had loved, and her own son. Finally she stopped and turned around and looked at it all, but she couldn’t return, so she kept running.

And Aaron watches as Lilly turned back around and leave, and he held his son closer.

Next Entry: The End

Note From The Author: The last post tomorrow, and it’s a big one! Much longer than any post I have done before. Please check back on Friday as well for more information.

Aaron finishes a long hard day at work and stumbles into the car to head home.

Instead of being greeted as he had hoped by his loving wife and adorable baby, he returns to see his baby screaming with a dirty diaper and almost dying of hunger, with his wife nowhere to be found, angered, he walk around the house to find Lilly.

He finds her watching tv in the spare room, with the door slammed shut to block out Ethan’s screaming.

Aaron angrily marches up to her and lets out all the frustration that has been pent up inside of him in the past few days, about her distance, her absence, her missing Ethan’s birthday, her not even caring about her own son.

She retorts angrily back, she says that he is a freak, he is insane. He is insane and so is their little freakshow baby. She didn’t deserve a weirdo family like she did, she deserved a real man, a man who knew how to do things.

Aaron is hurt by this more than he had ever been hurt by anyone before, and he had been hurt a lot before. Calmly, he lets out his deepest suspicion, something he had been wondering for a long time but never had the courage to say. He asked quietly if she actually did have an affair with his father, if Robert hadn’t forced himself upon her like she had said, but she was actually kissing him. Was she still having an affair with him? Was that why she had been out so much? Was that why she had missed her own son’s birthday?

Lilly is so upset by these accusations that she hits her husband straight across the face, she didn’t realise what she was doing until she had done it, and strangely, it felt good.

And, before Aaron has a second to respond, Lilly runs as fast as she can towards the door.

Next Entry: Fight or Flight?

Note From The Author: I know I promised that you could download Lilly, Aaron and Ethan but then I tried to upload them to the Sims website and it wouldn’t let me. I’m really sorry but I will try to fix it by the last post.

This is a very important moment for Ethan as well as Aaron because it will become clear if Ethan has Down Simdrome or not when he becomes a toddler.

Solemnly, Aaron watches as Ethan blows out his candles.

In a flash of light Ethan changes, he grows, stretches, and becomes a toddler.

Aaron checks his son for signs of Down Simdrome and from his facial features it soon becomes apparent that Ethan is affected by his father’s disease.

Aaron is saddened when he discovers this, but he puts on a brave face. He knows he still loves Ethan, and despite the overwhelming guilt he feels for giving a human being his disease, he is still happy that he has him.

He treasures his time with his son, and soon his anxiety seems to lift, despite all the trouble going on in his life, he still has Ethan.

Next Entry: The Final Straw 

Note from the Author: Just about the next blog, I know a lot of you have commented on how excited you are for it. I’d just like to put a bit of a disclaimer on it before you see what it is and are so disappointed with it that you don’t follow it. I do not expect the next blog to be as full on as this one is. I just want it to be a bit of light hearted fun which I can be able to update less frequently. Please don’t expect anything up to this standard. That being said, I think it will be really fun and will give me a chance to show a more funny side to my writing as compared to this more serious side.

You will find that the posts on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday will be especially long because they will be working towards the last post. The last post on thursday will be incredibly long and hopefully will give a fitting end to Aaron’s story and will be very spectacular.

Then on Friday I will introduce you to my next blog which i won’t be starting straight away, but will give you an idea about it anyway, I will also include some behind-the-scenes information about In His Own World which you may find interesting.
